Happy!


Apparently something I made has been published in this book. I think it's plarn baskets that I submitted, but to be honest I don't remember. However I think it's a cool looking book - very dense and this is my second time in a book. I'm also in Life Learning.

Congrats! I'm surprised they didn't notify you. It would have been nice if you received a complementary issue; but, I guess they don't do that.

Oh I was notified that I was in it - that's how I knew. With 1000 participants I do understand why the author can't offer free copies. It's a low budget project. We do get a discount to purchase it.

Or so I intend to use what has turned out to be an immense crocheted basket made from at least 200 grocery sacks. Using double and single crochet and scorning a pattern, this is what the new basket looks like. Next to it, the last smaller but just as functional basket for comparison. The large one is roughly 18 inches high, and has a diameter of 22 inches.

Barbie Redux Doll

Here are some pictures, taken by my husband, of my Barbie Redux doll, "Winged Victory". The exhibit starts August 7th with a reception in the evening. I'll be taking along some of my lovely ginger bread cake. There will be a Barbie look alike dress up contest and a treasure hunt. Her head still moves. I figure you could really screw with someone's mind - every time they look at the statue she's looking in a different direction. Heh, heh, heh.
